We are pleased to share our new publication in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, entitled: “Characterizing dynamics of productive dynein stepping by MINFLUX.”
This collaborative study uses MINFLUX microscopy to follow the microtubule-binding domain of dynein with nanometer precision and submillisecond time resolution. The results reveal a brief backward displacement before productive steps and connect ATP turnover to forward movement, clarifying how this molecular motor walks along microtubules.
